Priscilla Aldous
Priscilla, born to Edwards and Elizabeth, was the younger sister of Penelope. Historical records from 1851 reveal her occupation as a servant working for James Studd, a master carpenter in Rendham, Suffolk. However, for narrative purposes in the book, James was transformed into Jane. Following James' passing, Priscilla boarded with another woman, both listed as paupers. Three years later, in 1865 she returned to her hometown of Dennington, where she succumbed to epilepsy at the age of 49.
